About Discount Electrical
The counter that started with a store man.
An East Rand electrical wholesaler since April 1994: cable, switchgear, lighting and tools at wholesale prices, with a lighting showroom you can walk through.
Solly's road to the counter
Discount Electrical Wholesalers cc was founded in April 1994 by Suliman "Solly" Essack. He started out as a store man, moved onto the counter as a salesman, and went on to manage three of the largest electrical wholesale companies in South Africa.
That road shaped the business. The aim is to be the one-stop supplier of electrical goods and components: competitive prices, stock you can trust, and service from people who know what they are selling.
